Artist Statement
My work delves into the themes of human wildness, fear, loneliness, isolation, and terror, transforming these emotions into intricate, decorative forms. Through installations composed of both large and small objects dispersed across a room—as if fragments torn from a larger painting I invite unfold a narrative. Each installation presents a scene awaiting exploration, drawing into a complex tableau that rejects conventional organization and hierarchy, existing instead as a plane of pure potentiality, multiplicity, and fluidity.
My sculptures, characterized by bulging forms and surfaces. My paintings extend through the impasto techniques and voluminous textures, pushing the canvas into the viewer’s space. Layers and protrusions create a profound sense of depth and movement, resisting fixed identities and transforming the surface into a living, breathing entity.
The hybrid nature of my work—merging elements of painting and sculpture—transcends traditional art categories, occupying a liminal space where form and meaning remain in constant flux. These objects invite to reconsider the boundaries that define painting practice, embodying a call to dismantle hierarchical structures and embrace diversity. My practice is a testament to the power of disruption and reimagining the boundaries of body and space, urging us to accept the perpetual interplay between order and chaos.
